The meeting assessed the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding established between the two organizations from 11 February 2025, and explored ways to better address the communication needs of both parties.

Both parties agreed to continue airing the CRECCOM Corner programs on MBC television, while also enhancing radio programming and expanding dissemination to digital and online platforms. Discussions also emphasised improving field documentation and program production.

This partnership is crucial for CRECCOM's Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) initiatives. Television, radio, and digital platforms offer opportunities to extend community experiences beyond individual project sites, share lessons learned, amplify participant voices, and enhance public understanding of development interventions.

For MBC, the collaboration facilitates access to development narratives from communities and enhances opportunities for field-based content production.

"This partnership allows MBC to bring more development stories from communities to our audiences, while enriching the content available across our television, radio, and digital platforms," stated Noel Chinkwende, Acting Controller of Commercial Services for MBC.

For CRECCOM, the partnership enhances the visibility of program results and provides a national platform for communities and project participants to share their experiences.

"Our aim is not visibility for its own sake. We want communication to enable communities to share their experiences, demonstrate the changes occurring, and ensure that lessons from our programs reach broader audiences and decision-makers," said Alinafe Ireen Chibwana, Executive Director for CRECCOM.
