"I Chose Education Over Distraction": Esnart's Journey to Focus and Success

Esnart Kamcheula from Masambanjati CDSS faced a common challenge among adolescents—peer pressure and distractions that threatened her education. She was often surrounded by friends who didn’t value schooling, and many doubted her potential to succeed academically.

Everything changed when Esnart participated in the She Creates Change project, implemented by CRECCOM and funded by Room to Read. During the sessions, she watched the story of Keya, a courageous girl who overcame bullying, used collaboration and stayed committed to her education.

Inspired, Esnart reflected on her own choices of friends and decided to prioritize her studies above all else.

Her renewed focus and dedication did not go unnoticed. The Mother Group at her school has observed her commitment and recommended her for a school bursary, which now ensures that her Form Four school fees are fully covered.
