From the Margins to the Decision-Making Table

Young people in Malawi are moving from the margins to shaping the education policies that affect their future. Through its Collaborative Research and Action approach, CRECCOM, in partnership with the Network for Education Systems Transformation (NEST), has created space for youth to engage policymakers and highlight gaps between education systems, labour market needs, and real-life skills.

At the center is the Youth Advisory Group (YAG), bringing together diverse young people to contribute to research and national dialogue. With growing confidence and skills, they are influencing change—ensuring youth voices are not just heard, but actively shaping Malawi’s education reforms.
