Book For Better World

The goal of the project was to promote the reading culture and increase knowledge amongst students and teachers in primary and secondary schools as well as that of out-of-school children
and community members in Balaka district and the project provided books to 20 Schools (16 primary and 4 secondary) and 6 Teacher Development Centers (TDC), increased accessibility of books in rural schools or Malawi, Balaka district in particular, where books are not readily available and promoted proper care and management of books in Schools
Over 20 ,000 learners, teachers and community members benefited. Over 35,000 books were donated to school libraries and TDC libraries.
The project sensitized, motivated and mobilized existing structures at the grassroots level and promoted reading culture in their schools.
