ASPIRE : Girls empowerment through education and health
ASPIRE is designed to specifically address the challenges that girls face in the Malawi Education System. ASPIRE focuses on All Primary and Secondary Schools in Balaka and Machinga districts.
KGIS : Keeping Girls in School
The aim of the project as the name implies is to keep girls in school through Cash Transfer. The main focus of KGIS are the adolescent standard 7 and 8 girls. When families living below poverty line are faced with an option to chose who amongst their male and female children to continue with Education.
EGIS: Every Girl in school
The Objective of this Project is
– to Sensitize, Motivate and mobilize stakeholders in the targeted schools towards supporting improved girls’ education access.
Youth Development Projects
YIA : Youth In Action
YIA seeks to improve the socio-economic status of around 7050 rural out-of-school young people, both boys and girls aged 14-18 years in communities of Mchinji, Ntchisi and Rumphi.
CLEAR: Child Labour Elimination Action for real Change
The project aims at contributing to the elimination of hazardous child labour in tobacco growing areas In Malawi within the context of the National Action Plan for the Elimination of Child Labour in Malawi, Malawi Conference Outcome Document and Framework of Action and the Prohibition of Hazardous Work for Children
Social Accountability Projects
Chitukuko ndi Aphungu ndi ma Khansala Athu Project
CRECCOM is implementing a project called “Chitukuko ndi Aphungu ndi Makhansala athu” in Balaka and Thyolo districts. The project’s goal is to effect improved agenda on development outcomes and public service delivery that include aspirations of rural youths. The project is part of the Malawi Reserve Fund through the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA).
Institutional Strengthening Projects
NEF: New Executive Fund
NEF project is being implemented with support from Open Society Fund. The goal of the project is to strengthen organizational internal systems resulting in scaling up of projects that improve the lives of marginalized groups in Malawi. There are three objectives of the project: 1. To establish community mobilization consulting for social enterprise; 2. To conduct workshops, conferences and symposiums; 3. To support community philanthropic initiatives. The project’s target is to establish social enterprise, which will include furnished conference centre, blue print developed for community mobilization consulting.
