Ms Zione Musa has 8 years of indomitable expertise in NGO setup coupled with 3 years of teaching experience at secondary school level. Over the years Ms. Zione Musa has acquired strong knowledge and expertise in community mobilization and development, Education related interventions, Gender, Human rights, Participatory methodologies, Budgeting, Advocacy, Data collection and high-level computer packages. Ms. Musa specializes in girls education and has been exposed to high level responsibilities which includes being part of the team that revised the readmission policy (2016 – 2017) for Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MoEST), coordinating the organisation of National Girls Education forum reaching out to over 500 girls from all the 34 education districts in Malawi, 2014 – 2015, Participating in the development of the Malawi National Girls education strategy and the Malawi Girls Education Communication Strategy in partnership with the Malawi government through the Ministry of education science and technology (MoEST), representing CRECCOM at the National Girls Education Network whose main objective to coordinate interventions of the girls education stakeholders at national level.
Over the 8 years of working in different challenging setups, Ms Musa has acquired diverse proficiency in proposal writing, project design, project planning and implementation, resource mobilization through Public Private Partnership (PPP), project monitoring learning and evaluation, advocacy, networking and collaboration coupled with a yearlong training in girls’ education advocacy programme under Rise Up. Ms Musa’s 8 years of interaction with local setups has equipped her with strong expertise in capability enhancement using rights-based approaches in working with local structures such as Community leaders, Cultural gate keepers, Village forums, Area development committees and vulnerable groups such as women and children. Ms. Zione Musa holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Malawi – Chancellor Collage.
