Shoes spur girls to work hard
Students at Chikonde Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) are all smiles after getting shoes from Creative Centre for Community Mobilization (CRECCOM) and Bata Malawi. The Mulanje-based CDSS is one of the schools that benefitted from the initiative, aimed at keeping the girl child in school. Sixteen-year-old Rose Kaunde is in Form Two and could not hide her excitement. “The donation will motivate me to work hard in school,” she said.
